How to Create AI Narration on iPhone with One Speaker and Voice Presets

Tau34 guide · English · November 1, 2026

A short podcast does not need two hosts. Sometimes you need one narrator: to share a travel story, voice a review, read a passage or prepare a voiceover for a video.

Tau34 lets you do this in Dialogue Studio. Your script can contain just one speaking character, while you use voice presets and written direction to shape delivery.

Our real example is an English personal story about a busy summer: moving into a condo, visiting Puerto Vallarta and working on iOS apps. The downloaded audio lasts about 39 seconds.

What can you make with one narrator?

This walkthrough creates audio. You can use it with your own footage during editing. Generating narration does not add video scenes, music or podcast distribution.

Prepare your script separately

AI Dialogue Writer is designed to write dialogues. For a monologue, write your script yourself or prepare it with ChatGPT, Gemini or another writing tool, then bring the finished text into Tau34.

Start with a short, complete story: what happened, which details mattered and how it ended. Our example has three paragraphs about settling into a new home, taking a break by the ocean and returning to everyday life.

The opening reads: “This summer was all about big moves and getting things settled.” If you are making a review, check the facts and add your own observations before generating the audio.

Give every paragraph to Speaker A

Open Dialogue Studio and place your prepared script in Dialogue Text.

In the recording, every paragraph begins with Speaker A:. There are no Speaker B lines. The interface still displays two voice settings, but only one character has text to speak.

Use the same structure for your own script: start each paragraph with Speaker A: followed by the words that character should say.

Under Speakers, our example uses Puck for Speaker A. Kore remains visible for Speaker B, but no lines are assigned to that character.

For a conversation instead, follow our two-voice dialogue guide.

Use a preset as a starting point for delivery

The recording shows TikTok POV selected in Quick Presets. Speaker A’s profile contains a young man of 25, a written description of the character.

These are the settings for this example. The preset name does not restrict the audio to TikTok: you can save the narration and use it for a suitable project.

Presets and written direction distinguish this Dialogue Studio workflow from choosing an available voice in TTS. This recording starts with those settings already prepared; it does not show the preset selection menu or editing the collapsed Direction section.

If you simply need a ready-written text read by a selected TTS voice, see our AI voiceover guide. To compare the formats, use the Tau34 workflow overview.

Generate and listen to the narration

When your script and settings are ready, tap Generate. In the recording, the button changes to Generating… during processing.

The finished audio appears in Result. Tap the player’s play control to listen. Our example shows a duration of about 39 seconds.

The separate audio player on this page contains the downloaded narration. The screen recording shows the prepared settings, generation, playback and saving process.

Real screen recording: TikTok POV, Speaker A Puck, generation, playback and Save to Files. Settings and script are already prepared at the start.

Save the audio to Files

Below the Result player, tap Share / Download. In the share sheet, choose Save to Files, choose a folder and tap Save.

The end of the supplied recording shows this sequence with Downloads selected. The owner also supplied the downloaded WAV file; the web audio player uses a compressed listening copy of that recording.

For a solo podcast, this can be the spoken part of an episode. For a review or faceless video, it can be your voiceover track. For a story or audiobook excerpt, it is a recording with one narrator.

Start with one short episode

You do not need to start with a whole audiobook or a long show. Begin with a finished story, a brief review or a short solo podcast.

Prepare the script, label the paragraphs for Speaker A, choose the voice and delivery, then generate the audio in Tau34. Once the format works for your project, you can build a series of stories, reviews or learning episodes.
