How to Create a Two-Voice AI Dialogue on iPhone

Tau34 guide · English · Reviewed October 25, 2026

A conversation needs more than one voice. If you are making an English practice dialogue, a short scene or a spoken story, assigning a different AI voice to each speaker helps listeners follow the exchange.

With Tau34 AI Video & Voice Studio on iPhone, you can turn a topic into an editable two-speaker script, choose a voice for each speaker and generate the dialogue audio. You can use the audio on its own; creating a video is optional.

Here is how to approach your first dialogue, from the idea to an audio file you can share.

A real screen recording: the “Ordering food” idea, a Short dialogue, and audio playback in Tau34. Playback starts only when you press play.

1. Start with a clear conversation idea

Open Dialogue Studio, then select Write with AI in the Dialogue Text section. This opens AI Dialogue Writer. Use it for a conversation between two speakers. Think about who is talking, what they need and where the exchange should end.

The demonstration uses English. In AI Dialogue Writer, use Language or languages to specify the language or languages of your dialogue; English is not required. For the example shown in the recording, select Ordering food under Popular ideas, choose Short under Duration, then select Create dialogue. You can also use the Topic or idea field to describe a conversation.

For example, a useful starting idea is:

A short English conversation between a customer and a barista. The customer orders a coffee to go, and the barista asks about the size and milk.

A narrow situation makes the script easier to review than a broad topic such as “coffee.” For language practice, decide which expressions you want the conversation to include before generating it.

2. Generate and review the two-speaker script

The generated script appears in Dialogue Text in Dialogue Studio. The script is editable, so review the wording before generating the audio.

Check that each reply follows naturally from the previous line. Keep turns short enough to understand when heard aloud, and remove any information that does not help the conversation.

Here is an original example of the kind of exchange you might aim for. It is a writing example, rather than a required input format or a recording generated in Tau34:

Customer: Hi! Could I get a medium coffee to go?

Barista: Of course. Would you like any milk?

Customer: A little oat milk, please.

Barista: Sure. Anything else?

Customer: No, that’s all. Thank you.

Barista: You’re welcome!

For an English lesson, check that the vocabulary suits your learners. For a scene or story, check that both speakers have a reason to respond.

3. Choose a voice for each speaker

In Speakers, the Speaker A and Speaker B controls show a separate AI voice for each speaker. The recorded example uses Charon for Speaker A and Kore for Speaker B.

Choose voices that are easy to tell apart. In the coffee example, the listener should be able to follow the customer and barista without looking at their names. The voices do not need to sound dramatic; clarity matters more for a practice conversation.

Voice options vary by feature. Browse the voices available in Dialogue Studio when choosing your two speakers.

4. Generate and listen to the dialogue audio

Once the script and voices are ready, select Generate below Dialogue Text. When generation finishes, the Result section contains an audio player. Use its play control to listen.

Listen through the full exchange. Check names, pronunciation and whether any sentence sounds awkward when spoken. Shorten or rewrite unclear wording in the editable script before generating another version.

For a learning exercise, ask a practical question: can someone understand the situation and follow both speakers just by listening?

5. Save or share your audio

The Share / Download control appears beneath the audio player in Result. Use it to access the dialogue’s sharing or download options. You can keep the conversation as an audio resource without creating a video.

Check the current allowance and export options in the app. Tau34 is free to try with a limited allowance, and full access requires a Pro subscription.

Optional: create a video with subtitles

If you also want a visual version, Dialogue Studio can turn the dialogue into a vertical or horizontal video with subtitles. The Create Video control is shown below Share / Download after the audio has been generated.
